Get Books for FREE!

Did you know that you can get books for free?!?

All you have to do is read the book and then write a review about the book {usually about 200 words}. That's it. Then the book is yours!

Okay this sounds like a paid ad but it's NOT! This is just how excited I am about this. I have recently discovered the wonderful world of book reviewing.

I have signed up with a few book review sites recently. Sign up is usually VERY easy. You fill out a little form and then wait for approval. After that they YOU pick the book that you want to review.

The biggest thing about this whole thing is that I didn't want to review books I didn't want to read because that is just boring and a waste of time! But you get to choose which ones you want to read and which you don't. Even if you don't like any of them for three months..no problem! Then as soon as your doen they will ship you another one.

Seriously I am SO excited about this! I love love love reading and this is a perfect way to fuel my book hunger without breaking the bank.

{This is the first book I recieved to review. It is by Erin Healy who has previously co authored two books with one of my favorite authors! She co-authored Kiss and Burn with Ted Dekker. Now I get to read her firt solo book for free!!}

I have recieved three of my books already with many many more on the way. And one of the books was one I would have headed to the bookstore to buy as soon as it was released. And the other two are great ones I would caught my eye in a bookstore!

Anway here are a few great sites to check out. All of them are Christian publishers or websites:
I review for BookSneeze

Join the Flock! LitFuse Publicity Group blogger
Glass Road Public Relations

I Review For The Tyndale Blog Network

I have also contacted a publisher once and told them I would like to review one of their new books and they shipped it out to me the next day! This is really an exciting thing to me!

Let me know if you have any questions about this...I know I did when I first started!
And do you know of any other great sites such as the ones above?

  1. THANK YOU! Oh my goodness! You have made my whole week! I LOVE to read. It's honestly an addiction :-) Sometimes though I feel really bad about spending money on tons of books (but then if I go to the library, the books are usually returned so late I should have just bought them) :-) This is PERFECT!!!

    Have a great week!

  2. I read books for Thomas Nelson Publishers, Tyndale, and Waterbrook Multnomah. These programs help feed my reading needs without spending any money or having to stress over my kids while we are at the library. Thanks for the info on litfuse and glass road. I will definitely have to check them out.

  6. Hi Jami!
Last time I tried to comment it wouldn´t let me, so I hope that it works today! I´m excited for your Etsy and Artfire store(s)! Though I don't wear headbands, I know that they will be very popular and I was going to have my daughter vote--maybe she did already:) So, I know what Etsy is, but what is an Artfire store? I love the way you are educating me on everything:) I just come over here, find out what you're doing, shop around, and try it, and ask you questions when I have trouble!!
Actually, because I, too, love to read and adore books, I have really been tempted to do book reviews for some time, but didn't think I had the time to add that on to blogging, and didn't, also like you, want to read awful books, that I wouldn't read if I didn't have to! ha! I know some people review for Thomas Nelson, and Multnomah also. litfuse and glass road are new to me. I have really been considering Thomas Nelson. They are very well-respected. You may have just pushed me over the hump of deciding. I haven't been reading a lot lately by myself, because my husband just got a large GC to CBD and bought a ton of books, and we've started to read them together out loud. We are also watching the Love and Respect DVDs with our grown children, (except those that they will have to watch when they're about to marry:) So, we've been busy, and during the day, I don't seem to have time.
I really appreciate your tips and review. My son likes Ted Dekker. I like historical fiction, reprinted 1800's books, and how-tos, and "inspiring" fiction!
Well, gotta go, have a great day, James!
    Blessings,
    Wendy

Took you up on one of the links you posted as I haven't seen that one before...and very much would love to read Erin's new book. Now the hunt is on!!
